Naci en:  Rio Piedras pero Criado entre Toa Alta y Bayamón, aunque entre amigos decimos que venimos de Bayoalta una línea invisible de dos pueblos.

Born in: I was born in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico, grew up somewhere between Toa Alta and Bayamon, what my friends call Bayoalta, a mix between the towns.

Vivo en: Al momento estoy viviendo en Cupey. 

Live in: Currently I live in Cupey, Puerto Rico

Desde que edad comenzaste a dibujar? 

Desde que recuerdo estoy dibujando. En mi casa siempre estuvo el arte envuelto. Todos en mi familia son creativos y desde pequeño tuve el dibujo, la serigrafía, el diseño muy cerca.

At what age did you start to draw?

I have been drawing since I can remember, in my house there was always art involved, we are all creatives in my family so I have always been drawing and doing serigraphs.

Cómo te describiría tu familia? 

Como independiente un loquito,viajero. 

How would your family describe you?

Like and independent crazy traveler.

Estudiaste arte? Si desde décimo grado en la Central de Artes visuales en Santurce y luego paso a la Escuela de Artes Plásticas en Viejo San Juan. Pero desde antes  tomé algunas clases de Manga (comic japonés) cuando era más chiquito.  

Did you study art?

Yes, since 10^th grade in the Central of Arts in Santurce Puerto Rico and after in the Escuela de Artes Plasticas in Old San Juan, but when I was younger I took some Manga (Japanese comic art) classes.

Cómo describes tu estilo? Y cuanto te tomo llegar a el? 

Mi estilo es algo más psicodélico, surrealista, pop. Me gusta darle el nombre de Hypertropicalismo una exageración de colores, movimientos y expresiones.

Llegar a esto? Todavía no se si e llegado realmente pero me  a estado tomando trabajar todos los días desde hace varios años. 

How do you describe your style? And how long did it take you to get to that style?

My style is psychedelics, surrealist pop. I like to call it Hypertropicalism, an exaggeration of colors, movements and expressions. How I got to it, I still don’t know if I have really gotten to what I want, but it has taken years of working on it every day.

Que es lo mas que te inspira al crear? Mensajes? Imagenes y colores? 

Últimamente los colores del trópico. Un pensamiento bastante abstracto sería tal vez entender cómo formulamos pensamientos. Me interesa saber la fuente de pensamientos por los cuales llegar a una conclusión. Leer sobre símbolos y crear nuestra propia mitología. Ademas  de muchisima musica desde Black Metal hasta Plenas puertorriqueñas. Creo que eso y mil cosas más.

What inspires you to create? Messages? Images and colors?

Lately, the colors of the tropics. A very abstract thought maybe would be how we form thoughts. I am interests in knowing the root of our thoughts that we use to get to a conclusion. Reading about symbols and creating our own mythology. Plus a lot of black metal and puertorican Plena music. And many other things.

Cuando fue que decidiste tomarlo como Carrera? 

Nunca me vi haciendo otra cosa, Desde que estaba en la escuela mi dinero venía de vender t-shirts hechas por mi o cuando estaba en grado elemental vendía dibujos bootleg de Dragon Ball Z a mis amigos por 50 chavos y con eso me compraba una pizza y un icee. Pero seriamente hace unos 9 años atrás viaje a san francisco a montar una mesa en una convención de cómics desde entonces decidí que no iba a parar de trabajar ningún día y decidí hacer todos los moves para continuar trabajando totalmente en ello.

When did you decide to make this your career?

I never saw myself doing anything else. Since I was in school my money would come from selling T shirts I made. Or in elementary school I would sell Dragon Ball Z drawings to my friends for 50 cents and buy pizza or an Hi-c. But honestly, about 9 years ago I traveled to San Francisco and set up a table at a comic convention, I decided I would not stop to work every day, I decided to make every move necessary to work on this.

Cual es tu medio preferido de hacer arte? 

El mural totalmente es mi favorito. Enfrentarse a una pieza gigante todavía me parece súper emocionante.

What is your favorite art medium?

Murals are completely my favorite! Having to make such a huge piece is still very exciting to me.

Cuantos muarles has hecho en la isla? Y cual es tu favorito? 

Favorito, no se si tengo. Siempre pienso que algo se puede mejorar. Pero tengo entre colaboraciones e individual tal vez unos 9 y maybe 6 que siguen vivos.

How many murals have you done in the island? What is your favorite one?

Favorites I don’t think I have, I always think there is something that could have gone better. But between collaborations I have 9, 6 that are still up.

Con que artistas y marcas has colaborado? 

Colaborado con artistas como Bad Bunny, Yo-Yo-Ma Trabajado para marcas Mc Donalds, Fanta, Medalla Light ademas de muchisimas bandas locales buenísimas como Diente Perro, Un Final Fatal, La Maquinaria de tortura entre ortras.

What artists and brands have you collaborated with?

Artist like Bad Bunny, Yo-Yo- Ma. Brands: Mc Donalds, Fanta, Medalla Light apart from many local bands that are amazing like Diente Perro, Un Final Fatal, La Maquinariade torturas among others.

Cuáles son algunos de tus futuros proyectos? 

Al momento me encuentro trabajando con un solo show y cuadrando algunos nuevos murales. Quiero pintar paredes huge y había planes de viajar este año pero covid.

What are some of your future projects?

At the moment I am working on a show, and narrowing down some new murals. I want to pain huge walls and there were lots of travel plans this year but Covid took a hit.

Aparte de tu arte, si no estás hacienda arte que te gusta hacer? 

Viajar, Cocinar Correr bici y ultimamente comencé a aprender usar  sintetizadores análogos para hacer música

Apart from your art, if you are not doing art, what are you doing?

Traveling, cooking, riding my bike. Lately I have been learning how to use analog synthesyzers to make music.

Cual es el sueno? Cual es el future de Sergio Stuff? 

Crear seguir creando y conectando con la gente. Y espero que sea en tour por algunos países.

What is the dream? What is the future of Sergio Stuff?

Creating and creating some more. Connecting people. I hope to tour around many countries one day.
